The story of Kalizo Puerto Rican Cuisine began in 2000 in Las Croabas, Fajardo. Founded by Chef Manolo Bonano, the restaurant was created to offer the finest flavors of the sea, growing year after year in both service and cooking.
For more than two decades we have shown resilience: through Hurricane María, and through the 2020 pandemic with the successful “Kalizo Kiosko.” Along the way came the recipes that became our signature, including our famous and exclusive Kalizo sauce.
In May 2022, under the vision of Charles Rivera, Kalizo began a transformation to take Puerto Rican cooking to a new level. Today the kitchen is led by Chef Alex, who brings more than 10 years of experience and has spent the last four perfecting our house flavors, from the finest seafood to premium cuts of meat.
