In the year 2000, Calizo Seafood Restaurant was founded by Chef Manolo Bonano in Las Croabas, Fajardo. The restaurant evolved over the years, going through a natural transformation in terms of its menu and location, adapting to the times to offer better service and products each year that has passed. This transformation included the development of exclusive recipes such as the famous Kalizo sauce and several moves looking to expand its dining area to take us to where we are today. The Calizo Seafood restaurant, with its service and exclusive recipes, has successfully survived the ravages of Hurricane María and the Pandemic in 2020. Precisely due to the effect of the pandemic, chef Bonano, unable to use the dining room, creates the successful Calizo Kiosko in the front of the original location.

In May 2022 the restaurant was acquired by Charles Rivera, taking a new dimension in which, he once again turned it into a complete restaurant with a renewed image. Since then, growth has been sustained, conquering the palates of thousands of international tourists who have visited us since our acquisition and love our mofongo, fried snapper, Kalizo sauce and our extensive culinary offer. In January 2023 Chef Gino joins the team, well recognized for his excellent culinary background and experience developing other well-known restaurants in the Fajardo area. Chef Gino's entrance to Kalizo Seafood Bar & Grill has given our menu a transformation, placing us among the favorites of tourists with a high-level culinary offer for its great selection of seafood and meats.

Today, we are one of the pioneers in Las Croabas with international recognition due to the number of tourists who visit us to enjoy the taste of our exclusive culinary offer.
